ICQ Login Information

    ICQSMS Companion needs to know your ICQ number and password to be able to send your SMS. If you supply incorrect information, ICQSMS Companion will not be able to send your SMS.  You need to have an ICQ number and password. If you don't ten do so now by registering at the ICQ Website Registration Form.

    You can enter a preferred name for your ICQ account to make it easier to identify the account. This is especially useful if you will be using more than one account to send your SMS.

    If you are using multiple ICQ accounts you can press the "Default" button to set a certain account as the Default. This account will be the one automatically selected when you send SMS. You can always choose a different account to send your SMS.

    After making any changes to the account information, press the save button.

    Press the Delete button to delete the selected account and all of its information.

    The ICQ server gives you a limited number of SMS per account per day. This is currently 10 SMS / account / day. This means that if you send 10 SMS today using a certain account, sending more SMS from the same account will always give you an error. ICQSMS Companion can detect when you have used up your allotted SMS for the day, and will tell you so. If you have the "Don't use account if daily Limit is reached" option enabled, ICQSMS will disable the send buttons so you will not waste your time trying to send using an account that has reached its limits. This Rule is respected throughout the program except if you are sending your SMS from the Outbox with the "Use Smart Account Switching" option enabled.

Address Book Groups

    ICQSMS Companion has 4 predefined groups and allows you to add another 5 groups with any name you prefer. Just choose the group number, change the name, or enter a new name then press Rename.
     If you delete a group, all the contact's that where in that group will be automatically transferred to the General Group.

Default Signature

You can also enter a default signature that will be easily accessible from the send dialog. This will save you time when sending SMS's. You won't forget to add your signature to outgoing SMS again.

Check Offline / Online Status before sending

    ICQSMS can check to see if you are connected to the internet or not before sending. If you are offline, ICQSMS will not send the SMS. This is especially useful when sending the SMS's stored in the outbox, it suppresses the error messages.

Minimize to Icon tray on startup

    Instructs ICQSMS Companion to be minimized to the system tray when it starts. This is useful if you are going to allow ICQSMS to be loaded with Windows on your system startup. This loads ICQSMS Companion quietly to the system tray.

Enable Automatic Sending from Outbox

    Instructs ICQSMS companion to try to send all of the SMS's stored in the outbox at specific time intervals. You can set this time interval to your liking.

Startup with Windows

    Start ICQSMS Companion with windows so that it will always be ready for you to send your SMS at anytime. It will also be useful if you have enabled the Autosend function, since ICQSMS Companion will start to send all of your stored SMS once it detects an internet connection.

View List of Supported Networks

    Open a browser window to ICQSMS website to show you a list of networks that can be reached by ICQSMS.

Update News Ticker

    Contacts the Mizotec website to get the latest news ticker from there, allowing you to get the most recent information about Mizotec's Software.

Edit Squeeze List

    Opens the squeeze list in Notepad. you can edit add or remove any variable you want. The squeeze list is arranged such as

    short variable ; long variable

    where the long variable is the text  that will be searched for in your SMS, and the short variable is the word  that will replace this text. They are separated by a semi colon.
