The Directory Simulator copies the file structure
of a directory or a whole CD from the database and then recreates it on a
location you specify. Directory Simulator can also recreate the files in each
directory.
From the Program
Explorer, click the directory you want to simulate, or click the root to
recreate the whole CD. Then press the right mouse button and choose "Directory
Simulator". You can also start the directory simulator from the
Tools menu.
The Directory you have
chosen to simulate is now to the left. Select the target directory from the
directory list box to the right. Press Start to begin simulating.
This will only create the
directory structure. No files are created. If you want CD Librarian to
simulate the files too, then you can choose one of 2 options,
Create Zero
bytes files. The files are created but they contain nothing.
Create Empty
files. The files will be created and will be the same size as
the original but the will be filled with spaces.
