CD Librarian uses a very advanced search engine.
You can search the database for files, directories, CDs and applications.
In each of these categories you can search for an item using any of its
properties.
CD Librarian gives you 4 options for your search.
You can search for the Exact value, i.e.
match the whole word. So if you search for the word
see, only the word see
will be searched for.
By adding a leading asterisk to the word,
you will find that search for the word ate will also give you
hate, mate, climate, anticipate, rate, date,
etc..
By adding a trailing asterisk to the word,
you will find that search for the word see will also give you
seed, seem, seek, seen, seeker,
etc..
By adding an asterisk to both ends you will
get even more results. This can be used of you are not sure what the exact value
was.
CD Librarian also allows you to use wildcards in
your searches. So you can use c?t,
for cat and
cut, or 5#9
for 509 or
589 or even t*n
for ten, teen, team, twin, etc...
