Each CD may contain a single application or more than one application, or it
may be part of a multi-CD application. It can be hard finding these applications
when the number of CDs you own grows.
CD Librarian allows you to make a program tag
that contains all the information you need about any application you have on CD.
This program tag can be associated with a whole CD, or a single directory or
even a single file. Whichever you choose, just click on it and then press the
program tag button on the toolbar, or select it from the File menu, or right
click the file.
You will be presented with the form shown below.
CD Librarian will fill in the part concerning the application's location for
you. You will be able to enter all the data about your application including its
serial number and support information. When done, press the
OK button.
If the application you are tagging is similar to
another application you have previously tagged, then you can find the old
application from the list to the right. Then press the
Copy Information button. This will fill in the fields with the old
application's data. This is to make things easier for you when creating program
tags.
You can press the Clear
Fields button to remove all of the data in the form, except for the
location data which is managed by CD Librarian.
After adding your application's program tag to
the database, you can view all the applications in the Programs Explorer form.
This can be accessed from the switch board or from the explorer window.
The Program Explorer window allows you to view,
edit and delete the all the available tags.
